Following last Friday's mussing in Luxembourg city centre, following which two juveniles were detained at the Socio-Educational Centre in Dreiborn (for young offenders), another two minors were placed there on Wednesday.
According to the Grand Ducal Police, late on Wednesday afternoon, a young man entered a shop on rue d'Oetrange in Canach and threatened the employee with a knife, stole cash from the till and fled.
The police were called and a chase ensued, whereupon two suspects were identified a while later. The public prosecutor was notified of the incident: since the suspects were minors, they were placed in the Socio-Educational Centre in Dreiborn.
The Dreiborn institute is a secure facility used to imprison young offenders since late 2017: it can house up to 12 young residents at a time, for periods of up to three months which can be renewed by the judicial authorities.
