The Grand Ducal Police have announced the discovery of unexploded munitions from World War II in Hosingen, in northern Luxembourg.

On the afternoon of Wednesday 23 September 2020, war munitions were found near the Residence Op der Héi in Hosingen.

The explosives experts from the Luxembourg Army's demining unit had to neutralise the heavy projectile on site, which meant that the surrounding area was closed to traffic until around 18:30.
