A woman has been left in critical condition after losing control of her car between Blumenthal and Junglinster Wednesday afternoon.

The lady, who was described in a police report as elderly, hit a tree after her vehicle swerved out of control before colliding with another tree.

The driver became trapped in the vehicle and had to be freed by the Junglinster Volunteer Fire Brigade, with an initial report suggesting that the woman has sustained life-threatening injuries.
