On 4 and 5 March 2016, the Nation Branding Committee will be holding a Créathon gathering actors from a variety of domains in the Grand Duchy to help find solutions to the future identity of Luxembourg.

Artists, graphic artists, designers, filmmakers, historians, sociologists, computer scientists, business leaders, journalists, communicators, consultants and talented and interested citizens have been invited to apply to participate in this 'creativity marathon' which will look at how the country can express its values through a new design and to what degree a revamped slogan could contribute to Luxembourg establishing its new identity based on the three values of openness, dynamism and reliability.

According to the Nation Branding Committee, such questions require not just perspectives from communication and design, but also dimensions such as history, sociology and culture. Therefore a variety of figures are being asked to contribute to the expression of the country's identity, the result(s) of which will be finalised in the coming weeks by a team of professionals.

The Créathon will be taking place in three areas emblematic of creation in Luxembourg - Nyuko, LUCA and Carré - and will be supported by their respective leaders Nicolas Buck, Andrea Rumpf and Robert Garcia. These three personalities from a variety of backgrounds will support the initiative not only in the places they represent, but also within the selection of profiles and team training process. Jan Glas, design management expert, will manager the project and its development.

Individuals wishing to participate in this weekend are invited to send their applications, with a short paragraph on the reason they wish to take part, to info@creathon.lu or info@nationbranding.lu before Friday 12 February 2016. The selection will be made between 15 and 20 February 2016.
