Four motorists had their driving licenses confiscated in Schifflange on Sunday after it was determined that they were driving under the influence of alcohol.
The Grand Ducal Police set up an alcohol checkpoint along Rue Denis Netgen in Schifflange between 22:00 and 23:00 on Sunday 13 December 2015 as part of a traffic regulation on public roads.
Out of the total 95 drivers subjected to a breathalyser test, 5 were positively identified to be under the influence of alcohol and 4 driving licenses were confiscated on the spot.
Other alcohol checks conducted over the weekend in Ettelbruck and Esch-sur-Alzette yielded no positive results for breathalyser tests.
