In the early morning of 10 December 2015 a truck stolen from Luxembourg was traced to the near Lorraine region in France.
The Luxembourg-registered vehicle was equipped with a high-quality electronic tracking system by SkyCom. A permanently installed on-board computer determines via GPS the current position using data of the vehicle and transmits it in real time via GSM / GPRS to the server of SkyCom. The customer may at any time go online to retrieve this data. Thanks to this satellite-based technology, the trucks could be ensured only a few hours after the theft by the police.
