On Saturday 5 December 2015, Saint Nicholas and Père Fouettard ('Housécker', 'the Bogeyman') paid a visit to the Cent Buttek Beggen to hand out bags filled with sweets to eagerly waiting children.
Saint Nicholas and his helper were welcomed by Buttek volunteers and families, as well as Patrick Goldschmidt, alderman of the City of Luxembourg and Guy Arendt, Mayor of the town of Walferdange.
The event was an opportunity for the children present to receive sweet treats and play games provided by Joujoumobile/Spillmobil, ahead of Saint Nicholas Day on Sunday 6 December 2015. As in past years, the Cent Buttek held a raffle and distributed gifts to families.
