As temperatures begin to plummet, Luxembourg City has retained its cosy atmosphere with the recent illumination of thousands of LED lightbulbs.

Multiple light installations around the capital were illuminated last Thursday by City Mayor Lydie Polfer as the chalets of the Christmas market opened their doors to offer Luxembourg delicacies and hand-crafted products to the public. The Marché de Saint Nicolas et de l'Avent was opened on Thursday in Place de Paris of the Gare district, whilst Christmas markets claimed Place d'Armes, Place de la Constitution and Place Guillaume II on Friday.

These Christmas markets will keep the City festive until 24 December 2015.
