Following a Friday evening accident between Clervaux and Eselborn in which a driver lost control of their car which ended up on its roof on a forest slope and the three occupants were hospitalised, a late evening accident on Saturday on the N11 near Waldhaf involving three vehicles resulting in four people being injured.
A car was being driven from Gonderange towards Waldhaff when it started to overtake another vehicle; when the driver realised there was a car coming in the opposite direction, they moved back into the right lane and collided with the car it was overtaking. Upon impact, the driver lost control of the car which overturned as it left the road into the forest where it came to rest on its side against a tree. The two occupants were trapped in the wrecked car and had to be freed before being given 1st aid at the scene.
The driver of the oncoming car also lost control of their vehicle and collided with another car travelling in the opposite direction, coming to a halt on the hard shoulder.
Overall, four people were injured, one seriously who was hospitalised. The N11 was blocked to all traffic in both directions while the emergency services cleared the accident scene.
