POST Luxembourg today reported that its decision to offer a delivery service on Sunday 6 September 2015 resulted in over 4,000 packages being shipped by POST Luxembourg in one day.
Ordinarily, POST Luxembourg delivers packages Monday through Saturday, but the company decided to make an exception and offer delivery to customers between 09:00 and 17:00 yesterday.
"In September the distributed packages are most often back to school accessories," explained Philippe Gross, Head of Package Service at POST Luxembourg. "Our customers are at work during the week, doing the weekly shop on Saturday and with the family on Sunday, this is why this day was chosen for free home parcel delivery."
Over 4,000 parcels were reportedly delivered by POST Luxembourg on 6 September, and the company has decided to repeat this action on 13, 20 and 27 September 2015.
