Benny J, a renowned disabled artist and speaker with a rare disease, originally from Australia but calling Luxembourg home for a number of years, is inviting the public to a captivating event titled "Embracing Life - How to Adapt in an Ever Changing World” on Friday 30 June 2023 from 19:00 - 21:00.
This transformative gathering will take place at the Work Rest Play offices of the Green Office Luxembourg (12 rue Notre Dame), an ESG cooperative. The event offers an immersive experience delving into Benny J's remarkable life journey, exploring the profound influence of rare disease, adaptation and artistic expression.
Drawing from a diverse and dynamic career across three countries (Australia, Germany and Luxembourg), Benny J has embraced a myriad of roles, including Bank manager, Container ship sailor, Pub manager, Bus Driver, Call centre worker, door to door Salesman, financial adviser and stand-up comedian culminating in his work as an Artist. Benny J's extraordinary life experiences and the evolving nature of a rare disease have required continual adaptation, shaping both their artistic endeavours and personal growth.
During this exclusive event, attendees will embark on a deeply personal narrative, gaining unique insights into Benny J's resilience and creative process such as his daily pain diary, a social media post documenting his daily pain levels and thoughts.
