As part of its resident artists programme, the Ministry of Culture recently welcomed two new artists in Luxembourg.
The newest additions to the programme are Yiumsiri Vantanapindu and Aurélie De Heinzelin. The former, born in 1980 in Bangkok, has lived in France since 2005 where she is undertaking her artistic training. She is currently based in Strasbourg where she is focusing on sculpture and making contemporary jewellery. The latter, Aurélie, also born in 1980 but in Roen, lives and works in Strasbourg, too. She was the first winner of the ‘Francis André’ grant provided by the National Cultural Fund.
The National Cultural Fund, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, offered a two-month work residency for young plastic artists in the fields of painting and design. Aurélie will exhibit her research and works which she completed during the residency between 2 and 23 December 2016 at the Konschthaus beim Engel Gallery. The opening will take place on 1 December 2016 at 18:30.
The two artists will open their temporary art studios at the Chateau de Bourglinster on 8 November 2016 at 20:00.
