LEAPA, the Luxembourg European Association of Performing Arts, registered under the Cercle culturel des Institutions européennes, has announced a call for actors interested in taking part in its Murder Mystery play entitled Assassination in Aspelt, to be performed on Sunday 29 May, 2016.

The roles to be filled are:

- JC König, a local financial tycoon
- His wife, English*, posh
- His mistress, Russian*, ex-beauty queen
- His half-sister, half-German*, bitter
- His daughter, Frenchified, only child, spoilt
- His future son-in-law, local, dim
- His business partner, South African*, wily
- His personal physician, Swiss, crooked
- The police detective, local*, bumbling but clever.

* The nationality can be adapted to suit the actor’s capacity for producing an appropriate accent.

The play will be performed at T’Schéier in Aspelt on 29 May starting at 17:00. The action will take place before and during a 3-course meal, in front of and amongst the audience, so the ability to project and to improvise will be important. In between ‘scenes’, the cast will be expected to mingle with and be questioned by the guests. The characters should be somewhat heightened, i.e. verging on melodrama.

Rehearsals will be held from the beginning of May, dates and times to be arranged once the cast is known.

Anyone interested should contact the director, John Brigg, via email: jbrigg@pt.lu or by tel: 691-636631 by 4 April 2016 at the latest.
