On Friday 31 October 2025, Banque Raiffeisen officially announced the launch of Agri Hub centre of expertise dedicated to supporting Luxembourg’s agricultural professionals.

According to Banque Raiffeisen, the Agri Hub relies on an experienced team of advisors specialising in agriculture, with extensive experience in the sector, supported by a new generation of advisors, notably to assist younger farmers with their projects.

In a press release, they said: “Agriculture is an activity of strategic importance for our economy and the natural environment. Although the number of farmers is declining, their role remains essential for food sovereignty, the preservation of our landscapes, and the vitality of our rural regions. In order to meet the specific challenges of this sector, such as constantly changing legislation, ecological transition, and long-term investment management, Banque Raiffeisen has developed a specialist, community-based approach: the Agri Hub.”

Laurent Zahles, CEO of Banque Raiffeisen, remarked: “Agriculture has been part of our Bank’s DNA since its inception. With Agri Hub, we want to strengthen this historic link by offering tailored support which is close to the ground and focused on the future.”

On Monday 20 October 2025, Martine Hansen, Luxembourg Minister of Agriculture, Food and Viticulture, visited Banque Raiffeisen’s headquarters in Leudelange to discuss with the Bank’s management and Agri Hub advisors the current challenges facing farmers and to identify appropriate and sustainable solutions to respond to these challenges.

During the meeting, the bank presented to Minister Hansen details of the services provided by the Agri Hub and its objectives.

Minister Hansen stressed: “The agricultural sector is undergoing many changes. It is important that banks stand alongside our farmers and offer them advice and tailored solutions to support those who feed our population.”

Banque Raiffeisen described Agri Hub as a “national and cooperative network” which will be physically present in all regions of the country and detailed how Agri Hub advisors will work closely with Banque Raiffeisen branches, complementing the three Business Hubs set up by Raiffeisen in recent years.

They noted: “The Agri Hub also plays a central role in training and supporting branch advisors, ensuring that all our agricultural customers receive consistent, high-quality expertise, regardless of their usual point of contact.”
