Luxembourg's Ministry of Agriculture, Viticulture and Rural Development has confirmed that the country has been declared free from avian influenza.

After three months without a new case of bird flu, the Grand Duchy is free of avian influenza.

From Friday 1 April 2022, the Veterinary Services Administration of Luxembourg's Ministry of Agriculture, Viticulture and Rural Development will lift the preventive quarantine measures put in place at the end of 2021.

Nevertheless, given that the risk of introduction of the bird flu virus into poultry flocks persists, biosecurity measures must be scrupulously observed and any abnormal mortality in a flock should be reported either to a veterinarian or to the Veterinary Services Administration via email: info@asv.etat.lu or via tel.: 247-82539.

According to the regulations in force, any gathering of poultry (exhibition, market) must be notified to the Veterinary Services Administration.
