Bernard-Massard brought together all of its staff on January 27 for its traditional "fête du personnel".
This was an opportunity for the company's management to congratulate and thank several of its members of staff for their long service and their contribution to the development of the company, including Carlos De Almeida Gouveia (20 years, Production) and Carlos Paiva (20 years, Accounting).
This was also the occasion to also congratulate two people for their promotion within the company: Mr. Florian Michels, named 2nd Cellar Master, and Stephan Krämer who was appointed technical director following the retirement of Mr. Freddy Sinner in 2016.
The Chief Executive Officer, Antoine Clasen, recalled the company's overarching objectives of quality and customer satisfaction in Luxembourg and abroad. The success achieved in recent years by the Cuvée de l'Ecusson in Finland and in Canada testifies to the soundness of this policy. To support this course of action, Bernard-Massard will invest more than €5 million over the next 3 years in its production.
In addition, two new products launched in 2016 met with great success among the Luxembourgish clientele, a beautiful Luxembourg Rosé "MACERIA" and the new "Roude Leiw" cuvée.
Management also expressed their gratitude to three employees who retired in 2016: Cesar Alves de Oliveira, Marinho De Maghalhaes and Nico Gudendorf, and welcomed six new members of staff:
- Ralf Karges: Vineyard
- Ricardo Goncalves Lopes: Production
- Alexander Neu: Vineyard
- Nathalie Mader: Executive Secretary
- Daniel Schöffel: wine merchant
- Florian Lehmann: electrician (absent)
