On Thursday, Luxembourg's Prime Minister was invited to attend a dinner at the 18th century Château de Val Duchesse in Auderghem, Brussels, hosted by the Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel.
The informal dinner of Heads of State and Government of the EU was held ahead of the informal European Council today, 23 February 2018, and brought together the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, and the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Angela Merkel, together around a table. Also attending were the Heads of State or Government of The Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Ireland, Portugal, Finland, Poland and Slovakia.
Discussions revolved around the future of the European Union as well as budgetary issues.
