Luxembourg's Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade have reported that the Grand Duchy assisted in the evacuation of injured patients after a nightclub fire in North Macedonia.

Following the deadly fire in a nightclub on Sunday 16 March 2025, which caused numerous casualties, Luxembourg contributed to international efforts by facilitating the transfer of four patients to suitable healthcare facilities.

On Monday 17 March 2025, in coordination between the aforementioned ministries and the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS), four patients were evacuated from North Macedonia. Two patients were transferred to Hungary and the other two to Croatia to receive specialised medical care.

Co-financed by the Foreign Ministry as part of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, the operation was carried out by Luxembourg Air Rescue using flight hours reserved for medical evacuations (MEDEVAC) from the emergency.lu system.
