The Union Luxembourgeoise de Patinage de Vitesse (ULPV) has reported that one of its skaters, Peter Murphy, is currently competing in the ISU Short Track Speed Skating World Cup in Montreal, Canada.
The COSL Elite skater is competing in the 1000 m and 1500 m distances. He qualified from the repechage quarter-finals to the repechage semi-finals.
His results from the first weekend, from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 October 2023, were as follows: 28th overall in the 1000 m (01:27.412) and 44th overall in the 1500 m (02:22.741).
Peter Murphy will skate again in the World Cup in Montreal next weekend (Friday 27 to Sunday 29 October 2023).
The ULPV also recalled that its annual Halloween Cup is taking place at Kockelscheuer Ice Rink on Sunday 5 November 2023 (during normal training hours).
