Luxembourg will be represented once again at this year's VivaTechnology event, taking place from Thursday 16 to Saturday 18 May 2019 in Paris.

VivaTechnology is one of Europe's main Tech meetings. Its organisers have developed an original concept that mixes start-ups and multinationals in order to facilitate partnerships. For its fourth edition, the show expects to attract some 100,000 visitors.

Eight startups will represent the Grand Duchy at a 40m2 pavilion, jointly organised by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce with its House of Startups (Host), the Ministry of Economy and Luxinnovation. Luxembourg's presence aims to showcase the entire local start-up ecosystem and the many advantages it offers in terms of business internationalisation.

With this in mind, the following local startups were selected in response to a call for applications launched in March:

- BIM-Y offers an innovative solution that allows existing buildings to enter the BIM era, step by step without significant investment. It is based on three innovative technologies: digital twin, big data and information sharing;

- Clickbye, an application that allows you to create your personalised journey according to different criteria and in a few seconds book your flight, hotel and activities at the best prices. In addition, the application is available anywhere in the world, directly from a smartphone;

- CoinPlus, a specialist in blockchain and virtual currencies that offers a physical solution, independent of any internet connection, to secure access codes to its bitcoin and other cryptocurrency accounts;

- Keexle, a communication and collaboration tool that encrypts everything from end to end. This means that any message and shared document can only be decrypted by the owner of the computer or the recipient;

- Moovee has developed a carpooling app not for individuals but for companies. It not only integrates employee fleets of vehicles, but also offers automation of access to cars as well as bicycles and scooters;

- MySardines develops the first cryptocurrency based on vintage sardines, which are valued over time and which can also be consumed. The purchase of SARD (1 SARD = 1 box of sardines) has been simplified as much as possible so that everyone can discover the world of virtual currencies;

- Startalers has developed a chatbot that helps women take charge of their financial future without compromising their lifestyle by investing in a fun, simple and fast in alignment with their values. By investing with Startalers, they support sustainable projects and companies that promote diversity;

- Zero.1, a precursor of Lifi, the technology that allows an internet connection thanks to the signals of the LED bulbs. Only four other companies in the world are working in parallel on this technology. Zero.1's solution is compatible with any LED and any smartphone or computer.

Given that the space sector is one of the areas highlighted this year by the organisers of VivaTechnology, the rover of the company Ispace will also be presented on the stand. Demonstrations will show visitors the capabilities of this robot designed to search for water on the moon.
