PM Xavier Bettel;
Luxembourg's Prime Minister and Minister of State, Xavier Bettel, will visit Mali for a working visit on Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 November 2017.
During his visit, the Prime Minister and the Belgian Prime Minister, Charles Michel, will meet with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Mali, Aboudlaye Idrissa Maiga. In addition, Xavier Bettel will be received by the President of the Republic of Mali, Ibrahima Boubacar Keita. These working meetings will provide an update on the bilateral relations between Luxembourg and Mali, and more specifically to discuss development cooperation and defense.
The Prime Minister will take advantage of his presence in Mali to meet representatives of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in Mali. He will then go to the Koulikouro Training Camp where two Luxembourgish soldiers are stationed at the European Union training mission in Mali.
Before leaving for the Ivory Coast where he will attend the 5th Summit of the African Union and the European Union, PM Xavier Bettel will meet the Luxembourg community of Bamako for an exchange of views on Luxembourg's co-operation in Mali.
