Luxembourg's Minister for Cooperation and Humanitarian Action, Romain Schneider, will travel to Dakar in Senegal from Monday 14 to Tuesday 15 November 2016, to host the 12th Luxembourg-Senegal Partnership Committee, which he will co-chair together With the Minister of the Economy, Finance and Planning of Senegal, Amadou Ba.
The Partnership Commission will be an opportunity to report on the implementation of the third Indicative Cooperation Programme (2012-2016) and to extend it until the end of 2017. In a spirit of concentration, the PIC III focuses on basic health sectors, including reproductive health, technical education, vocational training and integration, decentralisation and good local governance, as well as hydraulics, water and sanitation.
Minister Schneider will also benefit from his working visit to Senegal to meet with the Minister of Vocational Training, Learning and Crafts, Mamadou Talla. In addition, the Minister is to sign the new cooperation agreement with the international network Enda Santé, which implements the project "Frontiers and vulnerabilities to HIV / AIDS in West Africa".
