Luxembourg's Prime Minister and Minister of State, Xavier Bettel, will visit Bangkok and Singapore from Monday 14 to Tuesday 15 November 2016.
On Monday 14 November, PM Bettel will participate in the conference of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) entitled "Telecom 2016 - Collaborating in the Digital Economy", in Bangkok, Thailand. As Minister of Communications and Media, he will be the keynote speaker at the conference's Open Forum.
On Tuesday 15 November, the Prime Minister will travel to Singapore for a working visit. He will be welcomed by Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong for a meeting at which discussions will include strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, and international affairs. The two Prime Ministers will then attend the signing of a Memorandum between the National Research Fund of Luxembourg and the National Research Foundation of Singapore to intensify collaboration in scientific research and to implement common research projects.
During his visit, PM Bettel will deliver a speech at the Singapore Management University (SMU) as part of the "Presidential Distinguished Series".
