On Sunday 14 November, as a part of its immediate response to the weekend terrorist attacks in Paris, Benoît Vallet, France’s Director General of Social Affairs, authorised the release of Atropine Sulphate solution from military stockpiles to hospitals and emergency centres for use in the case of a nerve gas attack.
While this may have been done anyway, it certainly appears to be another example of the renewed seriousness with which the French government is treating the heightened threat of terrorism.
