From Thursday 5 to Sunday 8 November 2015, the Mayor of Luxembourg City, Lydie Polfer, participated in the Global Mayors Conference held at Palazzo Vecchio in Florence.
The Global Mayors Conference, which took place under the theme of 'Unity in Diversity', assembled mayors from all around the world at the invitation of Mayor Dario Nardella in order to discuss dialogue between communities.
The central theme was key, with topics such as culture as a vector for peace, media and democrary, challenges and opportunities of migration, the importance of social policy, intercultural exchange, and the role of research and technology in the construction of peace featuring in discussions.
