Jean Asselborn will be in Palestine this weekend at the invitation of Foreign Minister of the Palestinian Authority, Riyad Al-Malki.
The Luxembourg Minister of Foreign and European Affairs will pay a working visit to Palestine on 7 and 8 November 2015, where he will begin talks with the Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority, Rami Hamdallah, as well as Palestinian counterpart Riyad Al-Malki and former Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad in Ramallah.
The Luxembourg Minister will then head to the Gaza Strip for talks with officials of UN Agencies present on the ground in the region.
Minister Asselborn will discuss bilateral relations with the Palestinian authorities, as well as the latest developments in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, by addressing the recent increase in violence and the means for the international and EU community to facilitate a re-uptaking of negotiations between Israel and Palestine.
