In addition to meeting the British Prime Minister, David Cameron, on Wednesday in the Grand Duchy, Luxembourg's Prime Minister, Xavier Bettel is scheduled to meet with the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, this Tuesday 16 June.
The Bettel - Merkel meeting will take place in Berlin on Tuesday. The head of the Luxembourg Government will be received with military honours in the courtyard of the Bundeskanzleramt.
The meeting between the two leaders will focus on current European issues for the upcoming European meetings and the priorities of the Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the European Union, which runs from 1 July to 31 December 2015.
PM Bettel will then be the guest of honour of the Westerwelle Foundation - Stiftung für internationale Verständigung, founded by former Vice-Chancellor and German Foreign Minister, Guido Westerwelle.
Before an audience composed of members of government and the German parliament, representatives of the diplomatic corps and NGOs, the Prime Minister will deliver a speech on the challenges facing Europe.
