During her working visit to the United States, Luxembourg's Secretary of State for the Economy, Francine Closener, visited a reference school that reflects the aim of the City of New York to prepare young people for the best trades of the digital economy.

Called "Pathways in Technology Early College Highschool" and better known under the name "P-Brooklyn Tech", this scool offers a teaching programme focused on science, mathematics and computing courses already incorporating elements at university level. Offering a personalised course to each student, this school works in partnership with the renowned American IT industry and which was mentioned as a model by President Barack Obama during his speech on the state of the nation in 2013.

Jointly organised by the Ministry of Economy, the National Tourism Office (ONT) and by the Luxembourg Trade & Investment Office (LTIO), a seminar presenting the Grand Duchy of advantages as a tourist destination was held on the same day on the Luxembourg House in New York, in the presence of local tourism operators and representatives of the American press.
