As Media Partner for NT Live 2014-16, the Luxembourg Chronicle, in collaboration with Utopia S.A., is offering FREE tickets to the transmission of a two-hour special Shakespeare Live! event from The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) on Saturday 23 April 2016 at 21:15 at Ciné Utopia in Limpertsberg and Utopolis Belval in Esch-Belval.

Shakespeare Live! From the RSC will feature performances of some of the greatest dramatic scenes ever written, played by some of our greatest actors, as well as songs, comedy, dances and music celebrating Shakespeare's legacy. A tribute to to the genius of Shakespeare for the 400th anniversary of his death.

Hosted by David Tennant on Shakespeare’s birthday, and screened live from Stratford-upon-Avon, this star-studded show celebrates Shakespeare’s plays and their enduring influence on music, dance, opera, musical theatre and comedy. RSC Artistic Director, Gregory Doran, is assembling a once-in-a-lifetime cast, including Dame Judi Dench, Sir Ian McKellen, Joseph Fiennes, Meera Syal, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Al Murray, Alison Moyet, Noma Dumezweni, Ian Bostridge, Rufus Wainwright, Tim Minchin, Paapa Essiedu, Pippa Nixon, Alexandra Gilbreath, Akala (Hip Hop Shakespeare), The Royal Ballet, English National Opera (ENO), The Orchestra of the Swan, and Birmingham Royal Ballet, to perform in a unique tribute to the genius and influence of the world’s greatest playwright and storyteller.

Tickets for each event cost €20 (reduced €15) and are available at the cinema or online at www.utopolis.lu.
