Suffragette Poster-400

The Luxembourg Chronicle, in association with Utopia S.A., is offering 15 pairs of FREE tickets to the Avant-Premier of Suffragette that is taking place on Monday 9 November 2015 at 19:00 at Ciné Utopia in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg. Please see below on how to enter.

Synopsis: A drama that tracks the story of the foot soldiers of the early feminist movement, women who were forced underground to pursue a dangerous game of cat and mouse with an increasingly brutal State. These women were not primarily from the genteel educated classes, they were working women who had seen peaceful protest achieve nothing. Radicalized and turning to violence as the only route to change, they were willing to lose everything in their fight.

Directed by Sarah Gavron (Brick Lane) and starring Meryl Streep (The Iron Lady, Kramer vs. Kramer, Out of Africa, The Devil Wears Prada, The Bridges of Madison County), Helena Bonham Carter (The King's Speech, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Alice in Wonderland) and Carey Mulligan (Inside Llewyn Davis, The Great Gatsby, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps).
