Kinepolis is organising screenings of the documentary "Tintoretto: A Rebel in Venice" at Ciné Utopia in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg on 19 and 24 May 2020, as part of its "Art at the Movies" series.
With the enchanting narrative voice of Helena Bonham Carter, this new film production celebrates the 500th anniversary of the birth of the last great Italian Renaissance artist. It explores the rivalry between the most important Venetian artists of the sixteenth century: Tintoretto, Titian and Veronese in Venice.
Audiences will discover Venice through the life and paintings of Tintoretto. As the story unfolds, they will begin to understand how the plague deeply affected the city and Venetian art.
