Details:
The Esch-based theatre collective, Independent Little Lies (ILL), will be putting on a performance of its play "Footnotes" on the occasion of International Women's Day, on Sunday 8 March 2020 at 17:00 at neimënster (Salle Robert Krieps) in Luxembourg-Grund.
Originally, Footnotes was a project initiated by Claire Thill, a young Luxembourgish actress and director, and developed with a collective of artists identifying themselves as passionate feminists. The play is directed by Jenny Beacraft.
Footnotes traces the journey through different eras of a character through feminist movements, past and present. The play stages a gallery of colourful characters who question the protagonist on the issues of violence, doubts and hypocrisy that surround feminism. More than a simple walk through a century of feminism, it offers a collective awareness to walking together towards a better world.
The show is in English with French surtitles.
Tickets cost €12, €6 (reduced) or €1.50 with the Kulturpass. For more information and to purchase tickets, call tel.: 262-052444, send an email to billetterie@neimenster.lu or see https://www.neimenster.lu/en/Culture/Programmation/Agenda/Scenes/Footnotes-Sunday-08-March-2020-5-00-00-pm.
