The 2019 edition of the "Explore Luxembourg" event, highlighting the Grand Duchy's cultural and touristic offer, will take place this Easter weekend in Place d'Armes, Luxembourg-ville.

Organised by the Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO) and the Regional Tourist Offices of the Grand Duchy, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and the Ville de Luxembourg (VdL), this two-day event will transform Place d'Armes into a "mini tourist Grand Duchy", accompanied by a packed programme, tourist information, activities for all ages, musical entertainment and the opportunity to discover local products.

Visitors will discover the diversity of the regions of the Grand Duchy with its array of attractions and sites to explore, such as the rich natural and cultural heritage of the Ardennes, wines from the Moselle region and the country's industrial heritage. In the capital, visits to the famous Bock casemates and remains of the fortress remain an important tourist attraction.

Alongside the LCTO and regional tourist offices, exhibitors include Villa Vauban - Art Museum of the City of Luxembourg, the "école des goûts" in Naturpark Our, Vianden Castle, Timetravel and the Laurent and Rita Cox vinyards as well as the J.P. Steinmetz-Duhr wine cellars. Throughout the event, moderator Christian Schmit will interact with visitors and introduce them to the many activities, such as blindfolded wine tastings and "Péckvillecher" demonstrations. On the musical front, the duets Lisa Mariotto and Tun, Rol Girres and Marion Welter, the brass quintet City Brass, the Pol Milbert orchestra, the Moselle Valley Brass Band and the Murphy's Law group will represent the Luxembourg music scene.

In addition, the LCTO and Villa Vauban will offer free "Walk the Art" guided tours throughout the two days, departing from the LCTO stand at Place d'Armes (registration on the spot).

The official inauguration of this year's "Explore Luxembourg", in the presence of Minister of Tourism Lex Delles ("Explore Luxembourg" 2019 is under his patronage) and Mayor of the City of Luxembourg Lydie Polfer, will take place on Friday 19 April 2019 at 11:00 at the kiosk of Place d 'Armes. The event will thus run from 11:00 - 18:00 on the Friday and from 10:00 - 18:00 on the Saturday.
