Details:
The Robert Schuman Speech Contest is open to all, including those who have not yet completed the 6 speeches (or their equivalent in Pathways) as usually required to participate in a contest. Each contestant delivers a 3-minute speech, with no theme or objective assigned; they can choose to speak in French, English, German or even Luxembourgish. The contest is just for fun - there are no prizes to win...
This will be a unique day spent together in a city epitomising Europe’s unity: Schengen - Toastmasters know no borders!
The day in a nutshell:
- An all-in package (breakfast, lunch, snacks)
- Speeches grouped by language (French, English, German, Luxembourgish, in an order reflecting the number of contestants)
- Multilingual Masters-of-Ceremony
- Snappy workshops inbetween each speech session
- Optionally, one can participate to a Luxembourgish wine-tasting at the end of the day when contests are over (not included in the package).
- Also optionally, it is possible to stay over at the Youth Hostel, if you do not want to drive back the same day (not included in the package).

- France = clubs and prospect clubs in Lorraine + the French-speaking Orateurs du Jeudi club;
- Luxembourg = all other clubs and prospect clubs based in Luxembourg;
- Germany = all German clubs.
