For the 10th anniversary edition of the Salon de l'Artisinat, held annually in Autumn to defend and promote local arts and crafts, will feature the work, creativity and know-how of craftsmen and women from across the Greater Region. No less than 100 artisans will gather at Casino 2000, representing some 25 different trades, from glass spinning to silver soldering. Visitors will have the chance to discover these trades through various demonstrations and exchanges.

In addition, for its 10th anniversary, Casino 2000 is putting even more art crafts in the spotlight by inviting the association "L'ORRERY". This a group of artists, craftsmen, designers and creative engineers form a lively and creative "ART'LAB", located on the Brasseries de Maxéville site in France. It has been designed for lovers of crafts in search of a place to practice their trade. As part of the fair, L'ORRERY will invite visitors to enter their world through a scenographic exhibition entitled "Chimera and ramblings around the living". Six craftsmen will also be on hand to offer exceptional demonstrations on both days.

Luxembourg will also be in the spotlight with the presence of Pitt Brandenburger, a craftsman skilled in using the elementary materials of wood and metal. A complex execution, an accomplished modeling, pieces of captivating beauty that hide stories, symbols and references, to nature, to religions, to the origins of the Earth. Brandenburger will be joined by the French ceramist, Marie-Claude Meuley, who is also inspired by nature and puts water, earth, fire and air at the very heart of ceramic transformation.

The "La Spirale" artistic centre from Natoye, Namur in Belgium, will be returning once again, represented this year by four craftsmen showing off their latest creations. Hélène Vitali, a recognised stained glass maker, will also be present at this year's fair with her decorative art, jewellery, sculpture and lights, to name but a few. Moreover, visitors of all ages will be able to participate in a workshop on the various steps required to create a stained glass sculpture.

Finally, the prize for most passionate public artisan will go to the most "creative" piece at the fair, according to a public vote throughout the event. Prizes include a return flight with Luxair to Dublin.
