The Lions clubs Wittlich is celebrating its centenary this year and will be celebrating by holding a high-class concert on Saturday 14 October 2017 at 20:00 (at Brautweg 5, 54516 Wittlich - located north of Trier and east of Bitburg.), organised by the Lions Clubs Wittlich & Mittelmosel.
The Ambassadors, a 12-piece Jazz Ensemble of the United States Air Force, will perform at the concert. Stationed nearby it was created in 1945, and has presented a broad cross-section of American Jazz to audiences across Europe and Asia.
The ensemble can tailor its ideas to a variety of musical settings, ranging from background music for official military events to jazz concerts, etc. Although the band's history is rooted in the music of Glenn Miller, the current repertoire includes popular music and arrangements of contemporary music.
