Pocahontas screening

The movie is a part of the "Disney Princess at the Movies" event series. 'The Little Mermaid' is scheduled to be shown in September followed by 'Frozen' in November.

Set in 1607 and based on a real person, Pocahontas tells the tale of the young daughter of a Native American chief who will one day take up her father’s role and lead their tribe. Seeking gold in the New World the Britton ship sets anchor near the tribe and with it comes the adventure-seeking John Smith as well as the fortune-thirsty Governor Ratcliffe who sees the land as his own. John Smith meets Pocahontas and the two join forces to try and stop the tribe and Governor Ratcliffe from going to war over the land.
