Thursday 10 December 2015 will mark the inaugural lecture of Professor Jan Lagerwall, Professor of Physics at the University of Luxembourg and European Research Council grant holder.

Professor Lagerwall's lecture, entitled 'Contrasts drive self-assembly and beauty is born', will be about self-assembly - the spontaneous development of order without instructions from the outside world. Self-assembly is vital for life, it is higly useful in various processes and applications of modern technology and society, and it is central to all of Dr Lagerwall's research projects.

In his lecture, Jan Lagerwall will introduce his main research activities, share his strategy for promoting innovation as well as creative and collaborative work.

The lecture will take place at the Limpertsberg Campus of the University of Luxembourg, in Salle Tavenas, 102, avenue Pasteur, 2311 Luxembourg.
