In order to reflect the period of stillness and meditation that is All Saints, neimënster will be holding a unique festival on 8 November 2015 based on the idea of 'Stille Kunst', or 'Silent Art'.
The festival was first started last year as a means of building 'a philosophy of attention' and taking the time to listen and reflect. The 2014 edition brought together the vocal ensemble CantoLX and contemporary music group Lucilin, and this year will bring together all Luxembourg chamber music.
Le Printemps des Poètes Luxembourg will again be a partner of the festival, with its artistic director and poet Nico Helminger will provide a poetic and philosophical dimension to musical performances. The second edition will also benefit from the participation of Spanish soprano Marivi Blasco, Luxembourg soprano Mariette Lentz and French flutist Sophie Deshayes. KammerMusekVeräin Luxembourg will also present Six Autumn Songs, composed by Camille Kerger for the 30th anniversary of KMVL.
'Stille Kunst' will take place in three phases over the afternoon of Sunday 8 November in the Abbaye de Neumünster, a religiously symbolic place where monks once chanted and sung prayers in the Eglise Saint-Jean in the Grund.
