The Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO) and Cercle Cité today announced that they have organised two tea dances, to take place on Sunday 8 November and Sunday 6 December 2015.

The Tea Dances ('Thé Dansants') will take place in the Grande Salle of Cercle Cité in Place d'Armes in Luxembourg City. Musical accompaniments from the RWB Combo orchestra, conducted by Claude Sinner, will resound around Cercle Cité's historic building.

The programme will include samba, English and Viennese waltz, cha-cha, tango, rumba, paso doble, slow foxtrot and quickstep all in a strict dance rhythm on a 100m2 dancefloor. Ballroom dancing couples from the Danzsportclub Rout-Wäiss RWB-Blo Lëtzebuerg will be present for demonstrations.

All generations will be invited to gather to dance in an elegant and friendly atmosphere. The tea dances will aim to build bridges across these generations and revive the City centre on Sunday afternoon in a building which was home to prestigious tea dances in the 50s and 60s.
