Dr Juan Yu, an acupunture practitioner, will be offering courses in this alternative medicine technique at Medchine in September and October 2015.
Acupuncture forms a key component of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), and is commonly used for pain relief and other conditions. Broadly, the technique involves inserting thin needly into acupuncture points, although clinical practice and approaches vary by country and philosophy.
The acupuncture course has been developed for beginners, and will take place every Tuesday evening from 18:00-20:00. The first session will start on 22 September 2015, and will be followed by courses on 29 September and 6, 13 and 20 October 2015.
The course, focused on 'Acupuncture and Acu-Points', will be conducted in English and costs €180 for Medchine members and €230 for non-members.
Those who wish to attend the course must register here and pay the course fee by 20 September 2015. Class size will be 8 people, so space is limited.
If a participant follows all the courses, adding up to a total hours, and pass the exam they will receive a diploma from the Hu nan University of TCM. For more information visit www.medchine.lu
