The Grand Ducal Police have announced that a chimney fire occurred in Esch-sur-Alzette on Sunday 18 May 2025.
At approximately 13:30 on Sunday, the police received reports of a fire on Rue de l'Usine in Esch-sur-Alzette. The police, along with Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) personnel, were immediately dispatched to the scene. For safety reasons, Rue de l'Usine, Rue Michel Rodange and Rue Clair-Chêne were closed for the duration of the operation.
CGDIS firefighters extinguished the fire. There were no reports of injuries. The police and fire brigade operation ended around 16:00 on Sunday.
