On Thursday 17 September 2015, renowned guitarist Steve Hackett will be in the Grand Duchy to deliver his dramatic rock guitar performances to a Luxembourgish crowd.
Steve Hackett rose to fame as lead guitarist of famed English rock band Genesis, he joined in 1970 along with Phil Collins to form part of the line-up comprised of Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford. Steve's presence in the band was discernible in the acoustic sensitivity of his guitar-playing on tracks such as 'Horizons' and 'Blood on the Rooftops' and the dramatic guitar solos of 'Firth of Firth' and 'Fountain of Salmacis'.
Hackett also co-founded supergroup GTR, before resuming his solo career in 1987 and performing in international arenas. Brian May of Queen, as well as Eddie Van Halen, Alex Lifeson and Steve Rothery have all cited Hackett as a strong influence in their musical development.
Steve Hackett will be joined on his autumn tour by keyboardist Roger King; Gary O'Toole on drums & percussion; Rob Townsend on saxes and flutes; Roine Stolt on bass & guitars; and vocalist Nad Sylvan. At his Atelier show, he will be performing tracks from new album Wolflight, such as single 'Love Song to a Vampire'.
