Details: ctors Repertory Theatre Luxembourg will be presenting eight performances in October of 'Flowers in the Desert' by award-winning playwright Donna Hoke.
Actors Repertory Theatre Luxembourg is the only professsional anglophone theatre company in the Grand Duchy, and 'Flowers in the Desert', supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Ville de Luxembourg, Ogier and e2advance.com IT Technologies, will represent the theatre group's second Café Theatre Production, following the success of 'Greyhounds'.
'Flowers in the Desert', featuring the acting talents of Christine Probst and Erik Abbott, follows the story of Britt and Joe, who after 14 years of marriage decided to call it quits. Two years pass and Britt is dating a Professor whilst her ex's phone holds the number of every waitress in town. Why would Britt suddenly decide she wants to try again? Well, there are the kids to consider and of course 'the Boss' is on their side. But Britt has some rules and this time love has an agenda...
Probst and Abbott have extensive professional theatre backgrounds, both in the US and Luxembourg and will be bringing Donna Hoke's piece to life under the direction of Timothy Lone with assistance from Rhona Richards. New York-based Donna Hoke has had her work commissioned, produced and/or developed in 34 states and on 5 continents.
The show will be followed by a dinner at play venue Nature Elements inside Robin du Lac on Route d'Esch, with drinks available both before and after. Reservations are recommended and additional costs apply.
