Details: The Whisky Club Luxembourg (WCL) is holding a Burns Night Dinner on Thursday 22 January 2015 at the Sofitel in Luxembourg-Kirchberg from 19:00.
Burns Night is held in honour of the great bard Robert Burns himself who, in the 18th century, wrote his poems about the simple life of the Scots and was therefore immortalised in his words.
The evening will include traditional Scottish entertainment as well as a 3-course Scottish Dinner with the necessary liquid provisions not to be forgotten (i.e. Whisky, and more than one dram). The WCL is also currently teaching the chef how to prepare a delicious Haggis since they are so difficult to catch...
People in Highland dress will be specially rewarded with a small gift from the WCL who hope that this is reason enough to bring out your Tartan...
