Details: The Indian Business Chamber of Luxembourg (IBCL) has announced an Evening Seminar on Thursday 22 May 2014 at the auditorium of BGL BNP Paribas on Ave Monterey in Luxembourg city centre, entitled Fostering Entrepreneuship in Family Business. THIS EVENT IS NOW POSTPONED UNTIL A LATER DATE
Context: Family businesses are an entrepreneurial launch pad & provide an invaluable resource to family entrepreneurship. This conference examines how family businesses can: (1) utilise their resources to respond to changes in the global market, (2) prepare for entry of the younger generation, (3) tap into opportunities through generational transition and (4) avoid pitfalls. It will also explore how technological opportunities impact business & how to attract outside investments to grow a successful family business.
Speakers will include:
- Nicolas Schmit, Minister of Labour, Employment, Social Economy and Solidarity
- Dr. Shaheena Janjuha-Jivraj: She is a Senior Lecturer at Henley Business School & has worked in the field of enterprise program development and delivery. She was the founding Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship at Henley Business School. Her areas of research examine leadership and management in entrepreneurial firms with a focus on family businesses & social enterprises. She regularly publishes in these areas. Shaheena is a judge for the Coutts Bank Family Business Awards & a fellow of the RSA.
- Luc Leclere: At BGL BNP Paribas, Luxembourg, Mr. Leclere is the International Europe Market Manager, Head of Key Clients and Family Office Project & an Executive Member of the Wealth Management Committee. He held commercial management positions within Wealth Management departments in Luxembourg & Switzerland in particular. From 2007, he headed the branch of Wealth Management in Belgium & a year later joined the management of BNP Paribas Fortis Private Banking which was voted best private bank in 2013 by 'The Banker'.
Registrations start at 18:00. Presentations from 18:30 to 20:00 followed by networking cocktail.
