Details: This coming week-end, from Friday 17 to Sunday 21 January 2014, the annual VACANZ Tourism Fair is being held at LuxExpo in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
The holiday fair opens its doors to the public on Friday at 14:00 (open until 21:00), and on Saturday and Sunday, it will be open between 10:00 - 19:00.
A total of 20 countries will have their own stands, with virtually the entire planet accessible via travel agencies and tour operators. A total of 317 partners will exhibit across an area of 15,000 m2.
This year, the exhibition showcases a fascinating destination, full of natural, cultural and artistic riches: India. This huge country, a surprising blend of ancient culture and modernity, offering visitors a range of activities of a wealth that will delight everyone. Entertainment, traditional cuisine, cinema, dance, music, ... a project in collaboration with India Tourism and the Indian Business Chamber of Luxembourg.
A number of competitions are beign organised throughout the event, as well as a range of entertainment. A reverse auction will be held several times a day when an MC introduces a prize offered by a partner (flights, holidays, vouchers, ...), with the auction starting at the full retail price; as the MC drops the price, the winner is the first one to raise their hand. All proceeds will be donated to charity.
