The Grand Théâtre in Luxembourg-Kirchberg will present The Other Place by British playwright and director Alexander Zeldin on Thursday 1 and Friday 2 October 2026 at 19:30.
Inspired by Sophocles’ Antigone, the play transposes the themes of the Greek tragedy to a contemporary British family. Two sisters reunite on the anniversary of their father’s death, forcing the family to confront grief, guilt and unresolved tensions.
The performances will be in English and last one hour and twenty minutes without an interval. An introduction by Neel Chrillesen will take place in English 30 minutes before each performance. The production is recommended for audiences aged fifteen and above and includes strong language, violence, loud sounds and sexual content.
