The Second Degree asbl will begin its series of basic sewing classes on Thursday 25 September 2025, from 19:00 to 21:00 at St George's International School in Luxembourg-Hamm.
The course includes learning how to thread the sewing machine, wind a bobbin, learn the difference between a straight stitch, zig-zag stitch, stitch lengths, stitch widths and what and when to use them. Attendees will also learn how to maintain your sewing machine to keep it at its best.
During the class, attendees will make small items such as a drawstring bag, an envelope cushion cover, a zipped pouch, a basic elasticated waist skirt and discover how to sew a buttonhole.
The classes take place every Thursday evening from Thursday 25 September 2025 for a duration of six weeks.
The deadline for registration is Monday 8 September 2025 and the cost is €280.
