The 57th edition of the Our Lady of Fatima pilgrimage will take place in Wiltz, in northern Luxembourg, on Thursday 29 May 2025.
This pilgrimage traditionally takes place on Ascension Day, a public holiday in Luxembourg. Organised by the Œuvres Paroissiales Niederwiltz and the Paroisse Wooltz, this year's pilgrimage will take place on Thursday 29 May 2025. Nearly 20,000 faithful, mostly from the Portuguese community, will participate in this procession from the lower town to the shrine of Our Lady of Fatima on the heights of Wiltz (Op Bäessent).
The municipality of Wiltz noted that traffic disruptions are expected in Niederwiltz on the day of the pilgrimage between 09:00 and 20:00. To ensure the smooth running of the event, traffic and/or parking will be prohibited on several streets. The municipality has encouraged the use of public transport. Motorists are advised to use the approximately 900 marked P+R parking spaces and then take the "Park & Ride" shuttle buses, which will run every fifteen minutes from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 21:00.
